Traveling to Williamsburg This Summer?

We recently posted a free downloadable mini-guide to Williamsburg. A print-out of the guide might come in handy for anyone heading there this summer.

Very, very well done, Katie. I would chose Paul's or the Green Leafe over the College Delly but loved the addition of the bike rental locations.

Thanks for the suggestions Birdie--I'll forward them on to our Virginia editor to make sure they are on our writers' radar for the next edition.

I haven't been to Williamsburg in several years but my family used to go almost every summer so I have many fond memories.

Wow! What a great little guide Kate. Funny, I was just thinking this morning as I was writing my trip report how nice it would be to have one!

One thing we found useful in exploring Colonial Williamsburg was a visit to Bassett Hall to see the video on how Colonial Williamsburg was started. I think it makes a great intro before seeing everything else, and so many people don't even go or have never heard of it.

Also, it would be great to list some places to stay. There are just SO many places it is hard sometimes to narrow it down.

We found a visit to one of the plantations off Route 5 also a great treat.

Really liked the inclusion of the maps and happenings. Great job!

Hi wanderer1--just wanted to thank you for your comments and suggestions. We didn't incorporate places to stay in this particular PDF but we may in the future. We're hoping to do more of these (and e-books) down the road.

I love this guide! Will you be doing one for the Fall? We will be visiting Williamsburg in late Sept for Homeschool Days.
