In Nashville, you could check out the Grand Old Opry's schedule.

In Gatlinburg, are you after seeing shows or nature? Pigeon Forge has a lot of shows. If you've only got one day there and want to see a bit of the Smokies, Cades Cove is a beautiful drive around a valley.

What sort of "shows" do you mean - like the Opry, or local acts, or shows like in Gatlinburg? They're all pretty different animals.

As far as what else to see - what are you interested in? Without knowing it's hard to advise you. Fodor's Destinations pages might be a good start to get some suggestions.

thanks for the info. I checked the Opry shows and won't be any when we are there. In Gatlinburg, we are staying downtown, so would like attractions in the downtown area.
Also, staying one night in Louisville, KY downtown. Any restaurant ideas there or nightlife?
thanks,

Nadine

Nashville- check out the Bluebird Cafe for the nights you are there. Always modestly priced, and never been to a bad show. You can find their web site off a google search. \

Ryman Auditorium has shows as well. Should be able to catch their schedule on line also.

Plan on doing some nature while in Gatlinburg. Rafting or tubing the river is fun. Hiking one of the trails in Smoky Mountain Park is beautiful.

For nightlife in downtown Louisville there is 4th Street Live.

I was surprised how good the food was at Maker's Mark Lounge.
