Traveling From Colorado to Vegas
We will be traveling from Colorado to Vegas Nov. 20-29 and want to stop either at Bryce/Zion/Grand Canyon along the way. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on any cool places to stay and any must do's/see's along the way??
And good food is always important to us! Any decent places to eat? Thanks!

From a previous post I know that you will be coming from Glenwood Springs, CO and have a 3 year old daughter.
My only questions is, how long did you want to spend in Las Vegas and do you have to return to Colorado within this 10 day period?
The route I would take would be I-70 to Utah, getting off at Cisco to take Hwy 128 into Moab, Utah. Try to spend two or three nights in Moab so you can visit Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. There are several short walks to arches and overlooks at both parks for you to enjoy with your toddler. Green River overlook at Canyonlands rivals the views of the Grand Canyon IMHO! If you like to hike you might want to put your daughter in a child carrier backpack for short hikes.
From Moab, UT go back up to I-70 and then take Hwy 24 down to Hanksville and over to Capitol Reef. You might want to spend the night at Torrey. I would plan on a least a quick drive on Capitol Reef scenic drive and maybe get out and stretch your legs and start one of the hikes.
Continue on Hwy 12 down to Bryce National Park. November is going to be cold at Bryce because of the elevation.
From Bryce take Hwy 12 to Hwy 89 and go down to Mt. Carmel Junction and then take Hwy 9 into Zion National Park. I would suggest spending some time in Zion.
The N. Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed for the season. If this is a round trip you could see the S. Rim of the Grand Canyon on your way back to Glenwood Springs, but if you might be running out of time by then.

We do have to return to Colorado within 10-11 days. On a prior trip we stayed in Moab and did visit Arches National Park and Canyonlands. It was beautiful!
I booked the Red Rock Canyon Inn for 1 night in Bryce and booked 2-3 nights at the Desert Pearl Inn at Zion. We leave on the 19-20 of Nov. and we were going to try and get to Bryce on the 21st. Driving with a toddler sometimes we can only get so far. We're pretty flexable about where to stay and how many nights. Just have to be in Vegas no later than the 25th for 3 nights.
Thanks! Donick

You only have a few choices of places to spend the night on the road. Grand Junction, CO is 245 miles from Denver and Green River is 350. I would shoot for Green River.
From Grand Junction to Bryce is via I-70 and Hwy 89 it's 330 miles. From Grand Junction if you take Hwy's 24 and scenic Hwy 12 then it's 290 miles.
From Green River it's 225 Via I-70 & Hwy 89 and it's 185 miles via Hwy's 24 and Scenic Hwy 12. I would check to make sure Hwy 12 over the Pass is open before attempting this drive.
You only have two nights to get home so you really won't have much time for siteseeing. I-15 and I-70 are going to be the fastest way home.
Have a good trip!
