Travel visa information
 

Hi,

I'm having a school assignment about travel visa information. Example, visa requirement, price, validity and etc.

I have been google around and came across few links below, can anyone verify for me whether the information is right?

Why would you not accept them at face value if they coordinate with same information? Anyone here, self include, would only be offering an opinion. Hardly creditable research source for your school project.

Why would anyone want to read all those sites and verify the info for you? And what would they use to verify it?

When I want visa info, <u>for a USA passport holder</u>, I go here:
http://travel.state.gov/travel/travel_1744.html

and select the country, read the entry/exit requirements, and then follow the link that is provided there to the "embassy website for current information".

I probably would trust travisa, don't know about the rest. I suppose if a person knew how up-to-date travisa keeps their website they might be able to "verify" their info for you, but the embassy websites are the place to go (and verify what travisa and state.gov say).

You might note that some countries don't require a visa for entry but do charge an entry fee. I knew I didn't need a visa for Argentina and was surprised when they charged a US$140 fee, good for ten years. It is charged if you for enter at Ezeiza airport. I think it also applies to Canadians.

The most (if not only) reliable information about visas will come from official government websites. Follow mrwunrful's recommendations.
