Thanks for posting this. I live on Kauai and you would never think it is difficult to get here. The tourists have come back in droves. Last night I heard on the news that Hawaii is surpassing pre-pandemic tourism levels. The requirements keep changing--as the case numbers go down.

DH recently returned from visiting family in TN. He had the required NAAT test and the QR code. When he changed planes in Phoenix he was able to pre-clear by showing his QR code. When he arrived at LIH he just walked right through the checkpoints along with everyone who had been re-cleared in Phoenix. The others waited in lines that looked like they stretched all the way back to the mainland!

Info as of June 15:

• Also as of June 15, 2021, all travelers vaccinated within Hawaii are now able to travel via trans-Pacific routes without a pre-travel test. As of June 15th, travelers entering the state who have been vaccinated in Hawaii may bypass the quarantine without a pre-travel test.
• Once the state of Hawaii reaches a 60% vaccination rate - Hawaii may begin allowing trans-Pacific travelers vaccinated on the mainland to travel to Hawaii via the Safe Travels program, without a pre-travel test. Proof of vaccination will be required in some form, details are forthcoming and there is currently no set date for this to begin.
• As of June 17, 2021, Hawaii had a statewide vaccination rate of 56%, according to local state data from the Hawaii Department of Health.

For those mainlanders heading to Hawaii soon, you really need to create an account and get your covid testing appointment at the approved testing places, as they are going FAST. Also, make sure when you sign up, you're getting the right test.

If you've been vaccinated, you still need the test, but for Maui, you can upload a copy of your vaccination card on the website, then the test results also get uploaded. That way, once you arrive in Maui, you don't have to take the rapid test on arrival and can continue on.
