Travel OURS fm here to there

Would someone please provide the approx number of hours - driving - from NY to the first state, then so on up to Mass? I would like to calculate from one state to the next how many hours and budget my time so I can see states like NH or CT before staying in Boston.

Thanks!
try: www.mapquest.com You can pick city to city and get a map, driving directions and miles and maybe approximate time. Expedia has a "map it for you" too. I use these all the time so we can plan our trips also.

Buy the AAA Map-n-Go software. You can type in where you want to start, where you want to finish. It will calculate mileage, give a scenic route, quickest route, shortest route or AAA preferred route. It will also give you "Along the Way" which shows you major attractions, hotels & restaurants along your route. You can also get on-line info. about road construction & closings evidently - I've never tried it yet. I use it all the time and love it. I think it cost $30-40 when I bought it a few years ago.

Hi again! What a lot of research. We can get from the hwy outside NYC to Concord NH in about 4 1/2 hours. It may take you awhile to get out of NYC and I've never driven out of the airport. I would guess 1/2 hour to CT border, 2 hours to get thru CT because you have to drive partway across the state then up thru it. You can drive north up thru MA in one hour and its about 45 min from MA/NH border to Concord NH. New England is pretty small. You'll be able to see a lot within a few hours. I think it might be about 4 1/2 hours from NYC to Boston on the hwy since you have to drive east across the state to the coast. Don't forget to get the local newspapers to look for local events. Some wonderful small happenings do not advertise in the large Boston papers.
