I'm traveling from Phoenix to DC via BWI with a 7 year old and 7 month old....what was I thinking! Well what are the suggestions for getting to the city from BWI with children. Help...please!

One adult with an infant, a 7-yo and baggage? Taxi, about $60, is the only thing I would consider. The other choices might be doable if there are two adults.

I agree. People will offer various mass transit options--bus, train--but the level of hassle and waiting will be great. I'd definitely take a taxi.

i took a shared van somewhere in d.c. from bwi once.. or maybe it was from iad..

With kids I'll agree cab or shared van is the way to go. I wouldn't try to wrestle two kids and luggage onto the bus or the train, especially as there is a possibility of having to stand on the bus (it's happened to me--the seating is fairly limited).

I agree with everyone else on preference

1. MARC. Cheap and fast
2. B30 Bus. Cheap, less fast, but convenient for me because I live on the Green line.
3. Amtrak. Not that cheap and not that frequent on the weekend, but cheaper than a cab.
