Travelling to New York in September,what's the best way to get from airport to city hotel. There will be 8 of us 4 adults & 4 kids

You haven't told us which airport, but assuming JFK, EWR or LGA, yout best option is two cabs. NYC cabs are limited to four passsengers per car.

Other options are bus service (definitely from LGA and JFK, probably from EWR), or airtrain/rail or subway combination from EWR or JFK. I'm a huge fan of airtrain, but it's not a great option with a lot of luggage.

I'd compare that price to 2 taxis. If you told us which airport (and approx. where in NYC) we could judget taxi fare.

LGA is really close to Manhattan. Taxi usually about $35 x 2=$70 to compare to price from car service for van to fit all of you.;)
