Travel agents/company recommendations
 

Hi! We (3 adults) are thinking of visiting Alaska the summer of 2022 and are interested in possibly a small group tour or a self-driving tour throughout the Interior and South Central part of Alaska. We have plenty of time so we’re thinking 10-14 days. Any recommendations on travel agents or tour companies that may help us with this? There are a handful of sources on the Travel Alaska website, but would prefer to hear any firsthand recommendations or suggestions. Thanks so much!

I think you're unlikely to find many recommendations for travel agents or tour companies on most travel websites. Self-drive trips are very popular, quite easy to set up, and there are lots and lots of first-hand accounts and recommendations to be found on this site, on TripAdvisor, Cruise Critic and others. Just go here: Alaska - Travel Forum - Fodor's Travel Talk Forums (fodors.com) - and you'll see what I mean.

One note, however, 10 to 14 days is not a huge amount of time, depending on how ambitious your plans get. Distances are very great, and many places require at least a couple of days - often more - to make the best of your time.

You could also buy an older version. And then the new one comes out in March 2022.
