Transportation question in L.A.

Hi everybody !

I'm travelling to Los Angeles for the first
time this week, and was wondering about a couple of things. 1st: Since we're staying at the Holiday Inn in Hollywood (on N. Highland Ave), which one will be cheaper for 2 people from LAX to our hotel, cab or Super Shuttle ?? Taxi is more convenient for sure, but I'm interested in price at this time. Super Shuttle doesn't give any prices for Los Angeles on their web pages.
2nd: We'll also be driving to Las Vegas during our stay, and altough I do have a map, I'm really not sure about the best way to get to Interstate 15 to Las Vegas from our hotel. I hope you guys can help me with these little "problems" !! Thanks in advande.

The route between LAX and Hollywood can be very congested. No way to tell true cost of a cab. I would opt for the shuttle. www.laxairportshuttle.com quotes a price of $28 for the first passenger and $7 for the second to Hollywood. I would assume other shuttle services are comparable. Regarding travel by car to LV, take the 101South (very close to your hotel) from Hollywood to the I-10East. Follow I-10E to the I-15 to Vegas. Have a great trip!

I lve in the Los Feliz area; not far from Hollywood at all. Depending on traffic, and that is a major consideration, a taxi is about the same price as super shuttle for two people. I don't think it's ever been more than ten dollars difference. As you are interested in price, I would stick with Super Shuttle as it is a flat rate.

It sounds like you're renting a car since you say you're driving to Las Vegas. Why not just rent the car when you get to the airport and drive? Most other methods will probably cost about as much as one day's car rental, and you're going to need a car anyway.

I like the way Patrick's mind works.
