Transportation options from Pittsburgh to Penn State
 

Hi! Husband and his buddies will be staying in Pittsburgh for a weekend in November to attend a Saturday Penn State game and a Sunday Steelers game. Other than renting a car, can you recommend transportation options from Pittsburgh to State College and back on a Saturday game day in November? Thanks.

Others may know better than I do, but I think that a car rental's definitely your best (and likely cheapest/fastest) bet...

Mapquest shows it to be 137 miles aned almost 3 hours from Pittsburgh to State College. So chances are probably slim on a shuttle from Pittsburgh to State College.

There's an express bus that runs between State College and Pittsburgh but I'm not sure if it runs on Sat. I believe it is a Grayhound or fullington run.

There are two daily Fullington Pittsburgh to State College local bus (Schedule 7157) and a special express service on Fridays and Sundays during school year. (schedule 7154)
