Transportation from SAV to Hilton Head
 

Friends have rented a place at North Forest Beach on Hilton Head beginning May 4. They will drive down from Virginia. I will fly into SAV around 4:30pm on May 4. I'm trying to decide whether to have my friends go out of their way to pick me up at the Savannah airport or to take some form of transportation (bus, taxi, etc.) to North Forest Beach. Does anyone have experience or advice to share? Thanks so much.

Have you googled for shuttle service?

If you take that shuttle, it has a drop right next to North Forest Beach (Holiday Inn Oceanfront) so that's pretty convenient.

I'm guessing you'd take the shuttle back to SAV as it would be out of the way for your friends to take you back to SAV on their way home.

The $80 round trip fare sounds pretty reasonable to me, would save your friends a lot of hassle and allow them to get semi-settled in the house before you got there.

I would advice you to take a good cheap bus service like Megabus or so and save some cash.

It is really reasonable to me. I looked into shuttles from the MB airport to our place in Litchfield and it was sky high--twice this price.
