Transportation from La Guardia to Theatre District

What is the best method of Tx from LaGaurdia to Midtown Manhattan?

Dan: Taxi or by Greyline bus is the best way to get into NY from the airport.

If there are two or more of you definitely take a taxi. If you are alone and you think it is worth saving $10-15 and you have an extra hour to spare then take the shuttle bus.

<BR>As a New Yorker, I agree with both of the above. The Greyline bus is easy and drops you across the street from Grand Central Station, which is a 5 minute walk (but not with lots of luggage) or 5 minute cross town subway shuttle from Times Square, which is the theatre district, or a quick and cheap taxi ride to hotel/theatre. Bus runs often. Check schedules.

Several years ago on a fit of cheapness we decided to do the bus in from LaGuardia. We thought the bus was taking us to the Marquis--at least the driver said it was. When he dropped us off at Grand Central--too far to walk with the luggage, he told us we transfer to another bus that would take us there. Five hotels and one full hours later, going north to the NY Hilton, across to the Sheratons, and I forget where else, and sitting in solid rush hour traffic, we finally arrived at our hotel just in time to make it to our evening show. It was over two hours from the airport to our hotel and cost us $11.75 each or $23.50 as I recall. The taxi would have been there in about an hour even with the traffic and would have cost maybe a dollar or two more!
