Transportation from EWR to Weehawken for Family of 5

Hi Everyone!

My family (myself, husband and 3 kids) will be arriving at EWR on Saturday, Dec. 23. We will need transportation to the Sheraton Suites in Weehawken. Hubby and I have done this before and taken a cab, but that was just the 2 of us. Would that still be the best bet for 5 of us? I am assuming they have minivans or something to accomodate 5 people? If so, how much more expensive will it be? If memory serves the regular cab fare was about $40. Thanks!

Car service companies like Tel Aviv and Carmel service Neweark airport and are fairly reasonable. If you search this foreum on those names, you'll find lots of posts. Most are for transportation to NYC but they would also take you Weehawken.

I'd suggest checking with the hotel to see if they have any suggestions on how to get there, or if there is a hotel shuttle. There are also hotel shuttle service at Newark like the Blue Van, and of course there are cabs at the airport.

Have a great trip.

You know, I've never heard of a hotel shuttle service (as opposed to a regular shuttle) in the greater NYC area unless you are staying in the Presidential Suite of one of the 5 star properties.

Call either Tel-Aviv or Carmel Car service.

I think it depends on the age/size of the kids and how much luggage you have as to whether you can manage in a taxi. I know at the NY airports, there are minivan taxis that will handle 5 if the 5th is small and you don't have too much luggage. I think a car service is probably the safest route.
