What is the best way to get from La Guardia to Manhattan?
|
Car service is the best way
|
Don't you just love ambiguous post headers? I often don't read the posts. Ambiguous questions. "Best" is a funny word. There is no "best" anything. It all depends on your needs and your constraints.

IMO, taxi.
|
It depends on your budget. Regular taxi is best if unlimited funds. Airport Bus, city bus, or city bus-to-subway if you are on a budget, depending on where you are staying.
|
I think taxi is better than car service, especially at the central terminal. All black town cars look alike and finding a particular car & driver can be a pain.
One downside with taxi it that during peak hours there can be a wait in the taxi queue. |
Taxi

How many people? How much luggage? How willing to haul luggage up and down stairs in the subway? How much do you value cost versus convenience? Where in Manhattan?
I would only ever do a cab -- but I'm beyond the stage of dragging luggage around on the bus and subway. |
There is a huge queue of cabs on the right side of the AA building.

Taxi or car service (www.dial7.com)
Typically I choose taxi unless I'm landing at rush hour or during the holidays, when the taxi lines can be quite long. In those situations, I reserve a Dial 7 car. |
Car services like Carmel do nto always have car services waiting for you. Some wait until you land, you call, and then they see who is at the airport.
