Transport from LAX to Union Station

Will be arriving at LAX in late november and myself and two other friends need to get from LAX to Union Station. I'm after suggestions on the cheapest most convientent way to get to Union station. Two of us will have just arrived on a long flight from Australia so would like a nice simple easy way to get to Union Station. Thank you

The Metropolitan Express bus mentioned here:

City bus:

I suppose that the city bus would be cheaper but the express bus much more convenient.

The guy at Metropolitan Express said the bus to Union Station costs $20.50 and runs "about every hour". The lawa.org site shows bus stops at each LAX terminal, but I forgot to ask if that bus stops at each one. (800) 338-389 The terminal that you use depends on the airline.

Thanks mrwunrfl! The Metropolitan express sounds like the go! I appreciate your help!

Wow, I live in LA and I've never heard of the Metropolitan Bus. Might have to check into that. I would do Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle rather than a local bus line.

If there are three of you I would consider a cab rather than a bus. I think it will be cheaper. Can ayone confirm the cost from LAX to Union Station by cab?
