Transit Between Terminals at Newark Airport Go Through Security Again?

We will arrive at Terminal A on an inbound CO flight in July. Our European outbound CO flight leaves from Terminal C approximately 1 hr and 20 minutes later.

I know you can use the AirTrain to get between terminals but if you DO so, do you have to go through security (again) once you arrive at Terminal C?

Is it possible to get between terminals WITHOUT going through security again?

Thanks in advance for the information.

You have to go through security. No airside transfer between A and C, very unfortunately.

1hr20min should be okay unless your inbound is significantly late. CO will wait a little bit for you if you're already on the ground.

Thanks for the information. Fortunately, there is a later flight out on CO to the same destination if we are significantly delayed and I don't expect we will be but of course, one never knows for certain.
