Transit Advisory - AirTrain fares increased
 

As of November 1, 2019, the Port Authority has increased the fare (also called the 'Access Fee') on both the Newark AirTrain and the JFK AirTrain.

The Newark AirTrainfare has increased from $5.50 to $7.75. (This is in addition to the fare on NJ Transit).

The JFK AirTrain fare has increased from $5.00 to $7.75. (This is in addition to the NYC Subway fare as applicable).

Reminder to those who don't use the JFK AirTrain much - this fare is only if you connect all the way to the Jamaica or Howard Beach stations. It does not apply to anyone just using the AirTrain to get around between terminals, rental car center, or parking lot.
