NYC Buses will operate on a Sunday schedule

- For local stations in Queens, take the uptown F at Delancey Essex and transfer at 34th St (go upstairs) for an uptown/Queens-bound R train. Late nights the E train replaces the R as a local in Queens.

N trains will ne local in Manhattan between 57th St/7th Av and Canal St. Late night (usallay 12 midnight to 6 AM) N trains operate local along the R line in Manhattan to/from Brooklyn.

W trains will not operate.

Rush hour express service (in peak direction) on the 5 & 6 and D trains (Bronx) and the 7 train (Queens will not operate. Regular weekend service for these lines will be in effect.

The 4 and 5 trains will make local stops between Atlantic Av and Franklin Av before branching off to the 2 and 3 stations.

-- At Times Sqiare you can also take a downtown/Brooklyn-bound N, Q or R train to Atlantic Av-Barclay's Center where you can transfer (via passageways) to the 4 and 5 trains.

SPECIAL REROUTE INFORMATION

There will be changes to E service which may require those using the subway from/to JFK Airport (Jamaica station on the AirTrain/Sutphin Blvd station on the E) to make some modifications to their travel plans. For those who would need service to the west side of Manhattan (8th Av and vacinity I will have an alternative at the end.

Starting at 5 AM, Tuesday December 26 and ending at 8AM, Thursday December 30
(except as noted) .

E trains between Manhattan and Queens will be rerouted along the F line and operate on 6th Av to W4th St where it return to the regular service to the World Trade Center. This will be in effect between 5AM and 10 PM Tuesday-Thursday. Late nights (between 10 PM and 5AM) the E will terminate at 2nd Av/Houston St on the F line. During late nightss transfer at W4th St (go upstairs( for the downtown A train which will make all stops (use Chambers St station for World Trade Center).

Starting at 5 AM Friday December 29, the E will operate to/from the World Trade Center station at all times.

The 50th St (Lower Level only) station will be closed - use C trains or A (late night) for service along 8th Av. The 53rd St/5th Av and 53rd St/Lexington Av stations will be closed.
There will be no E train service at 7th Av - use B or D trains to 47th-50th St station for E service (on the F side of the platform).

Late nights free shuttle bus service will connect the Court Sq (7 and G trains), 21St-QueensBridge (E and F trains) and Queens Plaza stations (R train ex

M train service between Broadwy Junction (Brooklyn) and Delancey/Essex St (Manhattan)or 71 Av (Queens) will be suspended. M shuttle service between Metropolitan Av amd Myrtle Av/Wycoff Avs is not affected.

Additional J trains between Queens/Brooklyn and Manhattan will be added. Transfer at Delancey/Essex for uptown F trains. Transfer then at W4th St for World Trade Center bound E trains. Note: If your starting point or destination is lower Manhattan (east of the World Trade Center) you may want to consider the J train at Jamaica/Sutphin Blvd (see a subway map for specifics)

Alternative to/from JFK -

If the E running along 6th Av in Manhattan (rather than 8th Av) will present some problems in your travel plans you can take the Long Island Railroad at the Jamaica station to Penn Station (a bit more expensive than the subway but less than a taxi/car service) or if you still want to use the subway (vs a cab) then take the A train. From JFK - take the AirTrain to the Howard Beach station for a Manhattan bound A train. The A train has stops in lower Manhattan (Fulton St or Chambers St) and also at 34th St=Penn Station and 42nd St-Port Authority Bus Terminal (Times Square area). To JFK - Take a downtown/Far Rockaway or Rockaway Park-bound A train to the Howard Beach station. There you can get the AirTrain to JFK. Please note that this trip will be about 30 minutes longer than the E to Sutphin Blvd (Jamaica) so please plan your timiing accordingly. [Do not take the A train that has "To Lefferts Blvd" on the side route sign.]
