Tranquility Bay or Cheeca Lodge?
 

Hi all,

Hoping to get some down time in mid August (I know!) in the keys. August is our only time and there may be a hurricane we know but family reunion in Boston puts us over in that area in August. We're adding four nights and looking at the above resorts. We've been to Key West many times and never to Marathon or Islamorada. Reviews are poor for Hawk's Cay so passing on that. We just want to relax, maybe snorkel if weather permits or take a sunset sail, maybe golf and sit poolside. We have 12 and 13 year old boys. The pools look nice at both places. Does anyone have a preference or suggestions or tips for one key over the other? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you!!

I'm considering Tranquilty Bay for next June. Would be interested in any feedback.

I never stay there, always head to the KW but would pick Islamorada over Marathon. Lobster "mini" season runs July 27-28, 2016 and the regular season is August 6, 2015 through March 31, 2016. It gets busy with divers.
