TRAFFIC ON CAPE COD weekends?

I'm debating whether to go for a ride during my vacation on the Cape on sunday or monday or any other day during the week. I just checked out one of their cams and man is there a lot of traffic right now. WOW! bumper to bumper on the Bourne.

once you're on the cape, past the choke points, there shouldn't be a problem any day of the week.

Hey, it is a September Friday night and everyone wants to come on down. Wait until Sunday afternoon going west! Seriously, no problem with traffic now.
You are on the Cape once you cross over the Sagamore Bridge and you are heading east until you get to Orleans when you turn north. When on the Cape, don't get bogged down with north, east, south or west or you will get lost - most of the time that one is listed it isn't right. Just know which town you are heading for, that is easier. Even if you get lost, you will run into the ocean at some point and have to make a decision which way to turn. We aren't that big.
