Still working on my trip to NOLA between Christmas and New Years. I am now looking for tours. Does anyone have good recommendations for great tours?? I was thinking about a cementer and garden tour.

http://www.hauntedhistorytours.com/

We did the cemetary tour and the walking ghost tour this summer. Of the two, I preferred the ghost tour.

If you want more history in your cemetery tours, then consider the nonprofit group Save our Cemeteries.

Also look at the www.nps.gov although they no longer do their walking tours in the quarter, they are still interesting and free.

Just putting in another recommendation for the Historic New Orleans Walking Tour Co - we took their Cemetery and Voodoo tour several years ago and then last year took the French Quarter tour. Both were very good - fun guides, very knowlegable, good story tellers.

FYI - We did 3 tours with the Historic New Orleans Walking Tour Co -
The Garden Tour was the BEST!!1 It was fantastic - Bob was the guide (I think that's his name.)
The Cemetery Voodoo tour was also excellent!!
The evening Haunted tour was a not really historical - more dramatic - it was fun anyway.

Thanks for the help!

Glad you had a good time with the tours. We keep planning on doing a haunted tour in the evening, but we haven't gotten to it yet.
