Tours in Maui

Has anyone traveled alone to Maui? If so, what was it like being there alone? Also, if anyone took a helicopter ride for the entire Maui tour, would you recommend the helicopter company? Thank you! Carol

Aloha - I've traveled to Maui twice by myself. I don't drive, so both times I stayed at Lahaina Shores. The last time was January of this year & I rented a 1BR corner oceanfront unit direct from the owners. I've been to Maui about 15 times, so going by myself doesn't bother me at all. I was able to take the shuttle buses to different areas, when I wanted to. The only difference in going by myself is that I don't stay out as late in the evening, as I might if I were with someone else. I have taken the tour with Blue Hawaiian - no complaints. If you'd like to contact me direct with any questions - [email protected]

Hi mauigirl50,

I am planning to travel to Maui by myself and I wouldn't like to drive if I have a choice. Any tips/suggestions about getting around for sight-seeing?

Thx & Aloha !!

Also, can you please give me details about the shuttle ,can I find something on the web? Any other disadvantages traveling single - like waiting for the air tours to fill up ?

Thx

Buy a copy of Maui Revealed. It will give you a great deal of info about Maui.
