For years, we had gone to Charleston but never did the mini-bus tours. Upon a recommendation from a friend, we went and the tour was wonderful!
If you go to the visitors center, all of these mini busses are parked behind the visitors center. There are several to choose from, and, like I said, the tour was fantastic. |
We also did a shost tour at night that was fun. Kind of quirky....but fun. It was fun going to the old jail...Check into that

My wife and I visit Charleston several times a year and have done ALL the touristy stuff. Our FAVORITE all time thing to do is the walking tours - both history and ghost tours.
On Market Street there's a place called Bulldog Tours. They are wonderful. Best tour guides I've ever had the pleasure of touring with. You can read about them at www.bulldogtours.com. Check out the Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour or the Dark Side of Charleston Tour - both were excellent. Eat at The Boathouse and/or SNOB's. Rent bikes. Go to Drayton Hall. WALK, WALK, WALK!! I am confused by the references to Charleston as the "Holy City." Are the Holy City tours religious in nature? Thank you.
