Tourist visiting in late Feb/early March - advice on LA please!
 

Hi,
My best friend and I are going to LA in late Feb/early March and want to really check out the clubbing scene in LA from Monday to Sunday! Looking for a large dance floor, some R&B/Hip Hop/Dance/Techno beats, and a good atmosphere that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and won't have long line-ups - where should we go? We want to check out a good straight dance/hip hop club, a good lesbian club, a good jazz club, and a good latino club. Also, what's the weather like in early March in Celsius? Shorts and tank tops or scarves and sweaters? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. We're in our mid-20's and want to have some fun in LA! Suggestions? ;)

Can't help you with the clubs but bring s light jacket as it can be a bit chilly. Probably not tank top and shorts weather.

Lesbian clubs? That scene in LA is limited and pretty insular (something lesbian friends of mine complain about). Are you two guys or girls? The lesbian clubs I know of are pretty downmarket, and they don't take kindly to guys going in to try and pick them up.

In early March, usually anywhere from 20 to 30 celsius.

We are two girls. I heard about Girl Bar and The Factory. Also read about Arena, Catch One, and Circus - all three sound like fun night spots, large clubs, str8 or gay. Thanks for the help! Where I'm from, we've got snow jackets and boots on right now so I think I will be quite comfortable in shorts and a tank once I'm in Cali! :)
