Well, LOL, believe me about this, there are no tourist ads for Vacaville, CA! A nice city to live in with a sweet but boring downtown area, bigbox stores and of course the outlets (which do bring in the tourist) although I never understand why.

I live in South Georgia, so I'm accustomed to seeing ads for theme parks like Disney, Busch Gardens (Tampa), Six Flags Over Georgia, and Wild Adventures. This year, however, I have also been seeing a LOT of ads for Cedar Point. They've never advertised that much down here (many people in this area don't even know what or where it is).

OWJ- I actually went to Cedar Point last month. Cedar Point is very different from SFOG. Cedar Point is considered by many to be the best amusement park in the world. It has won Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Award (for best amusement park) seven years in a row.

I posted about North Dakota tourism ads on an above post. Last night I saw an interview with the ND director of tourism on public TV. She talked about her research and new "branding" of ND. Lewis and Clark traveled through ND therefor it has history. There are also local festivals like Sunflower Days in some town and a Rib Fest in Fargo. This woman has the hardest tourism promotion job in America! The truth about ND is that duck hunters from Minnesota is the biggest tourism money maker, and they shut down the duck hunting for Minnesotans last year until one month after the local ND's start hunting!!!
