Torrey Hotels
 

We will be spending two nights in Torrey Utah and would appreciate comments about which hotel is the best to stay at?

There's a great motel with beautiful view on the mountains but I forgot the name. When you drive in the direction of Fruita not far from the Park's visitor centre after eciting Torrey you cant miss it.Paul

We stayed at the Best Western in Torrey. It's very close to the park

Great mountain views and an outdoor pool and hot tub. Reasonable rates but the restaurant is poor so eat elsewhere!

After a search I found the name of the motel.It's Rimrock.They have a great restaurant attached.Paul

Husband and I stayed one night at the Skyridge B&B below. Loved it.

We stayed in the "Tumbleweed" room on the main floor.

We stayed a week in Torrey at the Wonderland. The motel was fine and the restaurant was just ok. They are located at the intersection with highway 12 at the top of a bluff. They have an outdoor pool and hot tub which is semi-enclosed. There are only a handful of places to eat in town. For a quick and good burger and milkshake go to Brink's Burgers (a busy little shack. Cafe Diablo had good food and reasonable prices while the Rimrock had
good food and a nice view of the cliffs on highway 24. It is very isolated and peaceful around Capitol Reef.

We stayed at the Capitol Reef Inn in Torrey when it was just too cold to camp in the area. It has so much character and charm. It was built by a rock lover and much is put together with petrified wood.A kiva is in the process of being built with stunning minerals. Very reasonable price and a wonderful restaurant. I would not stay anywhere else. It is closed part of the year so you will need to check on the dates you are going. Check out the Great western drive close to the motel if you can do a little 4 wheel drive that is easy.
