Top 5 in San Diego

I am planning a trip to San Diego, during the second week of March, between the 12th to the 16th. What would be your top 5 things to see or do in San Diego, for a typical solo traveler?

zoo, wild animal park, coronado island, La Jolla, Balboa Park for its museums.
Old Town is great if you are interested in the history of the area. In some respects it's very touristy, but there are also several exhibits and small museums where you can learn some of the history of the area. There are free walking tours daily given by docents.

There is also the mission and the Serra museum - we didn't get to them when we were there because ran out of time, but I have heard they are definitely worth seeing.

I agree with above posters. Also suggest you check out:

www.localwally.com

This is an excellent site which gives an overview of things to see and do in San Diego (pictures included).

Check out the Point Loma lighthouse...is it called the Cabrillo? I think it's a national monument.

Yes, definitely check out Point Loma and the Cabrillo Monument. Even if you aren't interested in the historical lighthouse or the monument itself, the views from there are great. You might even see some whales from the lookout since it's whale migration season. Down below are some nice tide pools where you can view some sealife. Make sure to wear or bring a pair of tennis shoes that day so you can walk around on the rocks.
