reading this in conjunction with your other post, i'd limit yourselves to 3 places: 3 nights Seattle, 2/3 nights San Juans and 2/3 nights Olympic Peninsula. you could do a day trip to mt rainier but you might want to wait and see what the weather's like. a more reasonable 1/2 day trip from seattle would be to woodinville wine country.
then head up to the san juans, then finish your trip in onp. depending on your flight time, you may be able to drive directly from there to the airport so you don't have to change locations again--it's about a 2.5 hour drive from the port angeles area.

Thanks so much NWanderer. I actually have been stressing out because every itinerary I came up with sounded good at first but than after feedback and looking closer at the map I had to keep revising it. I am now just keeping it simple like you said 3 nights in Seattle, then to san juan islands, finish up in onp. Now just going to relax and anticipate this great trip.

sounds like a plan. have you decided which island to stay on yet? since you want to kayak, see if the cabin at spring bay on orcas is available for your dates. it's a sweet little place and the hosts do kayaking trips from there.
