too early for 2003 on OBX?
I know it's never too early to check out the info, but when can you start booking condos on the outer banks?
|
Going back this summer for our 8th time. You can start booking usually the 2nd week after the week you want next year. It gives the current renters time to decide if they want to go back. Rental companies to try is Twiddy and B and B on the Beach.

Mary is right. From my experiences the realtors always give the current renter the opportunity to rent for the same week the following year. So you'll have to wait until after the week you plan to go. I would figure out where you want to stay and pick out a few homes, then you'll be in a position to act quickly. By the way, I've only stayed in Duck, but know a little bit about the entire area, but I don't recall that there are too many condos, it's mostly homes. There are some 3 bedroom condos called Duck Blind Villas located in Duck that are oceanfront.

It's really never to early. As the folks already pointed out, you may have to wait for the current renters, but at least you'll have homes you are interested in lined up.

There are only a few condos in the Outer Banks, mostly it's single family homes, and the townhomes and condos aren't really much cheaper.

A few other companies to try are: Real Escapes Properties, Carolina Designs Realty, R & R Resort Rental Properties Inc., Sand & Sea Real Estate, Atlantic Realty

There are also some condos on Hatteras Island, further south. The Islander in Avon has 9 oceanfront and 9 oceanview 2 BR units with pool. Excellent location next to Avon Pier. Try Outer Beaches Realty.
