Tony 'n Tina's Wedding

Has anyone seen this play in San Francisco? I'm not having much luck finding reviews. Thanks.

I saw it when it was in Minneapolis. It was hilarious! Basically a white trash wedding, and you get to be a part of it. Definetely worth seeing!

We saw it in Portland OR. It's a take-off of an Italian wedding - a most crass one. You attend the wedding as a guest and then the reception, where you are seated at tables. There's a buffet dinner, complete with cheeze whiz h'or d'oevres. The actors haul some members of the audience onto the dance floor. I had a gas. I will say, one couple in our group didn't like it, as they found it too crude for their tastes. So, if you're really easily offended, you might stay away.

As noted in above posts, this "wedding" and multiple variations plays all over the country with different "actors" - most of whom have day jobs. I doubt you will find reviews because it is usually held in a restaurant setting, sometimes just for a short period of time. A meal is included, as you become part of the reception action. It is rather crude, and filled with stereotypes and cliche jokes, but also funny. Not really my type of entertainment - but that is just my opinion and there is certainly nothing wrong with it - I am just not into participatory humor.

We saw it in SF and thought it was very funny. The reception takes place right in back of the church so it sure is an appropriate setting. If you don't want to participate the cast is pretty sensitive as there are plenty who do want to join in the fun.Glad we went!It is silly, but we still talk about it..oh don't forget a gift!

I saw it when it was in San Jose at the Theater on San Pedro Square and thought it was great.
