Toledo restaurants

Flight attendant looking for Toledo restaurants, moderately priced, relatively close to Holiday Inn on S. Reynolds. Thanks

joye Jan 1st, 2001 08:52 AM

There are several of the standard chains near the Holiday Inn. We were in Tol last week and ate a the Chop House.. excellent excellent food, price was around $8-15 per meal. (Thurs) also went to the Conextions Comedy club, real close to your hotel Thurs night price was only $8. We're also airline people, and are always looking for something to do in a city that doen't cost a fortune...
email me direct if you have any more questions.

If you are in Toledo, stop and visit Tony Packos, made famous by Jamie Farr in MASH.

You're in a good central location. Dominick's - almost right across the street is a good for Italian. The Olive Garden is the north, Applebees & Max & Erma's is to the south on Dussell Dr. If you head back to the north to Airport Highway (turn left) and your head into casual chain mania - Friday's, Lone Star, Cookers, Mountain Jack's, Joe's Crab Shack Don Paublo's, etc... Call me 419-334-5718 if you need some company - I'm a 39 yr young, SWM - very nice & innocent - honest. If not - have a safe a good stay in T-town.

Bob - thanks for the invite, I am flattered---our crew goes out together and I am married. Appreciate the recommendations.

Bob-Are you dateless and desperate or what?? If you are looking for single women to meet, you need to move to Columbus. The women outnumber the men there 2-1.

Kate:

I second the nomination for Tony Packo's! It's east of the downtown area, so you'll probably have to get a cab, but I always try to stop in when I am in Toledo.

They are famous for their chili dogs, but they also have great side dishes, wings, and they make their own pickles. They even have a gift shop, because they get so many requests for their products from out-of-towners!

Enjoy!

I call it Tony Puke-o's.

My Toledo faves are:
Mancy's in North Toledo, Georgio's Downtown, Cousino's Navy Bistro and the Real Seafood Co. (both at The Dock on the east side of the river). None of these are near the Holiday Inn, but neither is Tony Packo.
I also like Nick and Jimmys, but it is not close to S. Reynolds. It is on Monroe St. across from Franklin Park Mall.
How about Schmuckers on Reynolds Rd. Good food and 100 great pies. I would pick this place over any nearby chain restaurants. Also, the Beruit for Lebanese and the Tony Packos on Monroe St. just off I-475, that would be convenient to H/I on Reynolds Rd.
