To stay on the plaza on not on the plaza that is the question

The owners of the Grant Corner Inn are retiring to Florida! Here's something about it:

According to the above, someone has purchased the building but not the business.
The furnishings are being auctioned off this weekend, proceeds to benefit a local charity.

Hey, Lee Ann, Obx, Artman and all you other SFites, we'll be in SF in December. We're planning on El Shed, Geronimos, SantaCafe, and Bistro 315. We haven't been to SF in almost 2 years. Any new places we shouldn't miss? And, how about Pauls, we've considered trying it several times, should we give it a try? And, I've read about a new place, is it called Santa Aqua, or something like that?

LOL I'll be in SF in December also! ITs not as high brow as the other restaurants you mentioned but Cow Girls in the Sambuca neighborhood is a great local hang out. Also Cafe san Estavan on Aqua Fria is a wonderful small place. Its not really a Cafe since its only open for dinner.

If not for the food, go to Cow Girls just for the experience. Fun Place. My wife had to have the t-shirt. I missed the red chiles at El Shed. But their fish tacos were the best I've ever had. My wife said the same of those she had the night before at Celebration on Canyon Rd.
If you happen to be in the area when it's time for a margarita break, try Ore House, the place on the SW corner of the plaza with the overlooking balcony. The margarita list is as long as most restaurants' wine lists, and the charred tomato salsa.... gotta somehow get that recipe.
