to seetheworld...

Evening wherever you are~ I am wondering why the cousin Marilyn post disappeared. I was gone for awhile and had a chuckle wondering if I'd finally gone too far this time, lol. J.

matnikstym Jun 25th, 2006 07:08 PM

probably because it wasn't in the least bit travel related

jetset1 Jun 25th, 2006 07:16 PM

Wow, that would definitely not be a first offense here, lie lie lie, lol.
C'mon, sift though about a years worth of posts, and it's easy to see that many seek some comic relief. Those who like it have a ball. Some go past the 100-150 mark, there's your proof.
But you know what? You are in the great U.S.A., and I like your spunk, even if your screenname isn't seetheworld:)
Plus, I hadn't added that I am the planner as my family's "cousin Marilyn", the normal one. I have proof too, but I won't go farther without some more wine.
Cheers and thanks for piping in, J.

matnikstym Jun 25th, 2006 07:22 PM

but as you said in your Fodors 2007 thread, you rarely read past 50 posts. some non-travel posts are interesting, obviously the cousin marilyn wasn't as it only generated 6 replies before it was yanked. have a glass of wine for me! Aloha

CAPH52 Jun 25th, 2006 08:46 PM

I missed the cousin Marilyn post. What the heck was it about anyway?

matnikstym Jun 25th, 2006 08:58 PM

nothing worth repeating caph

jetset1 Jun 25th, 2006 10:08 PM

seetheworld~lol.

seetheworld Jun 26th, 2006 05:18 AM

You Rang? :)

What did I do??

starrsville Jun 26th, 2006 05:26 AM

It didn't go "too far". It didn't "go" anywhere. It was dead on launch.

seetheworld Jun 26th, 2006 04:04 PM

Jetset, are you out there??? You've been awfully quiet...

jetset1 Jun 26th, 2006 05:42 PM

Gee, I really just wanted an excuse to thank you for the Cranberry breeze drink recipe. I have relatives from South Africa coming soon, and I know they'll love it:)
Then your secret stand-in who apparently collects frogs(on a post about non travel, lol) and complimented my humor after counting the self admitted silly convention posts!
Anyway, I had a nightmare about cane spiders which I remembered from the year in Maui. They make our little daddy long legs look puny by comparison.
Have a good evening. I wasn't expecting the Marilyn post to hold up either~ just made me laugh I guess!
That's why this is so fun, something for everyone..

seetheworld Jun 26th, 2006 06:03 PM

Enjoy the drink, jetset! :D

I have a secret stand-in? Who knew??

Have a good one!

Threads like that are fun, but they don't always last. But that's OK, we all know another entertaining thread will appear again soon. :-)

seetheworld Jun 26th, 2006 06:07 PM

P_M, did you ever make it to the Ice Bar in London?

jetset1 Jun 26th, 2006 06:17 PM

P_M~ You are nice. I know I can be a little out there. I don't have any real bad vices. I am guilty of excessive excercise out of stress at times though!
In 2000-01, my dh and I lost three parents within eighteen months. We look back now and are grateful for being in a large family that probably saved each other with humor therapy.
I try to be a good sport here. Some posts I skip and don't comment on, because there are enough cranky people in the world and I'd rather be lighthearted if possible.
Since I'm preparing for the South African cousins, I'll probably take a small break, and then report back on the "Cadbury elephant and Crunchy" overdose that I'm dreading, lol. J.

seetheworld Jun 26th, 2006 06:23 PM

Be Happy, Jetset! :)

Enjoy your company -- we'll look forward to hearing your tales! :D

P_M Jun 26th, 2006 06:26 PM

jetset, it's the posters who are "out there" that make this board fun. I hope you'll never leave us. :-)

stw, I didn't go to the ice bar. :-( I wanted to, but there's so much to do in London, it just didn't happen this time. Maybe you can go, and send me a pic of you in the big parka!! :-))

jetset1 Jun 26th, 2006 09:47 PM

No worries, I am always pretty upbeat. Hope to meet all the other funsters at a gtg very soon, location doesn't matter.
If you want a clue, I'm the one with the crab legs, a champagne waist and a small pleather whip~ fondly, J.
