To Bonniebroad

Well Bonnie the tar Heels fell today just like the Illini yesterday. Oh well. I think they both did well to get this far, esp. after losing key players to the NBA. So hows everything? Got any trips lined up? We are going to Iowa next mo. to see friends before our cruise in August. Tomorrow is the 1st day of spring. We might get snow. Yuk. itching to tee it up. :-) Cheers, Larry

We must never speak of this again.....

:-( Carolina will be a monster next year, I think, but the inexperience of our freshmen were showing in this tournament. Oh, well, as you say, great that our teams got this far, huh? :-) Thank you for thinking of me!

Trips? Well, we are mulling getting in the car and traveling to Charleston/Savannah/Ocala(FL), as we speak. I'd love to see the azaleas down there ... so gorgeous, and my niece is having a baby (as we speak :-) ) in Ocala ... so we may go tomorrow or Tuesday, and stay away for about 10 days.

After that, we will go to Maryland/New England for about 10 days in April. Looks as though my son & family may move to sunny California this summer so we'll probably do our first cross-country driving trip in the Fall. Before that, my granddaughter will visit for a few weeks, and that will include a few days at Wrightsville Beach, NC and the same up in the Asheville area with her.

We may toss in a long weekend to Vegas if a family member can stay with the elderly pooch!

We have never been to Iowa, but it's sounded neat to me since seeing "The Bridges of Madison County." :-d Some of us ladies are still looking for Clint!

My BIL & sister have been in Florida for almost three months now, and he goes TO PLAY GOLF!!! Loves it ... He's in his late seventies, and says that when *he goes*, he wants it to be there! :-)

So good to hear from you ... take care!

At least State is still in it...for now.

Bonnie, if you go to Charleston this week, be sure and post a trip report. I am headed there the end of next month and armed with some great suggestions from GoT, but always open to more.

Next year......

Hey cmcfong, I can't REALLY complain about my guys this year as nobody expected them to do much of anything, having lost all their starters from last year, and yet they've been amazing!

Yes, there's still NC State, Boston College and even Duke (at this point, although it half kills me, I'll pull for ANYBODY from our conference. ;-) )

If I make the trip South, I sure will do a report for you!

You certainly have the right attitude, Bonnie. You would think that I, as a graduate of WFU, the losingest team in the ACC, would be super skilled at handling defeat.....
Have a great trip!

Holy cow! I hope gas prices don't go thru the roof in the summer as they often seem to. :-) We were in Myrtle Beach once and got to Charleston Harbor but not the city itself which is pretty amazing to see or so I have heard. We did accomplish our mission so to speak as I wanted to see the Yorktown, an aircraft carrier that my uncle served on during WW II. Speaking of golf that was the other mission.:-). And Myrtle Beach was the place for it. Well have fun and if I see Clint I'll ask him to contact you on Fodors. LOL!
cmcfong: I'll bet you bleed tar heel blue, correct? Well at least you had last yr. and a great tradition. I bleed Cubbie (Chicago Cubs that is) blue and, well enough said. :S-
