TKTS on Broadway

Are all Broadway shows available at the TKTS booth? I was wondering about Jersey Boys. Also are the tickets half-price? Are they available for good seats in the theater?

No, only shows with empty unsold seats are available. Since Jersey Boys has none of those, they're not at the TKTS booths. To see which shows have recently been available (which doesn't guarantee they will be when you want them) go to http://tdf.org/tkts/#
and click on "Broadway at the booths"
The tickets are 40-50% off face value. The seats are not the best.

There are lots of other ways of getting discount tickets. Broadwaybox.com has discount codes for some shows (these also tend to be the same shows available at the TKTS booth).

You can also get 'rush' tickets or standing room to some shows. Unfortunately, Jersey Boys only has student rush tickets (you must show a student ID) Info here

Sold-out shows like The Jersey Boys, Wicked and The Lion King and Spamalot are not available. The Color Purple, The Drowsy Chaperone, The History Boys and Mamma Mia might occasionally be available, usually for early-in-the-week performances.
All the others, in varying frequency, will have seats at TKTS.
Are they good seats? Obviously, they are not the best in the house, but when a show is not doing well, you get get a good location.
The price for Broadway shows is usually 50% off plus a $3 per ticket service charge.

Where is the TKTS booth located?

Since Usher has been headlining Chicago, it's been sold out also.

TKTS is a crapshoot. If you want to see something in particular, pay full price.

None of the Disney Shows are at TKTS either.

There are two TKTS booths- one is temporarily located on 46th Street (next to the Tarzan theatre). The other is down at South Street Seaport, which usually has fewer people in line.

If you're going soon, check out the discount program Season of Savings (seasonofsavings.com). Many shows have good discounts, and you can avoid waiting in line altogether.
