TKTS matinee question
 

Can anyone tell me if it's still possible to purchase Wednesday matinee tickets on Tuesdays, as it was in the pre-9/11 days? I looked at the TKTS website and didn't see that information. Also would appreciate any suggestions for what to see -- I haven't ordered tickets for anything yet for our Aug 22-25 visit, so I'd love to hear what's worth seeing, especially if it's something available at TKTS. Thanks!

I think you must go downtown to the South Street Seaport TKTS box office for the day ahead matinee tickets.

But if you don't want to go downtown for your short visit, why not register for free at one of the websites like playbill.com, theatermania.com, broadwaybox.com, hitshowclub.com where you can get discount codes and order online and pay by credit card. It's not quite as cheap as the TKTS booth but more convenient. Your other option is to print discount codes and bring them to the box office when you arrive and buy discounted tickets that way.

If you go to tdf.org you can see the shows that have been available at the TKTS booth this week.

Pittsburgher we saw Chicago when we were in NYC in May and loved it.
