Tips for Rental car Savings?

Picking up SUV at Billings and driving to Wyoming for visit..did some cost comparisons and best rate at Hertz with AAA discount for 1 week and 3 days was $576.
Anyone have any websites, coupons or other ideas to get the price down?
How do you find cheap rental rates????

Unless you have some special corporate rate with Hertz, that's the last place I'd look.
Priceline and others don't do much or even anything for one way rentals.
Dollar, Budget, National, and Alamo are good places to check.
But SUV's are rough for major discounts.
To be honest though, $57 a day for an SUV on a one way rental doesn't sound all that bad.
Last year, though, somehow we got one for $35 a day via National from Seattle to Portland. We picked it up downtown. If we had picked it up at the airport, the price doubled.

Is this a one-way rental or are you going back to Billings?

Try priceline and bid for something lower.

Go look at www.momsview.com.
You can click on car rental on the far right side and it will bring up rental companies and a bunch of different coupons, codes etc.
I used it for car rental in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago--got a second driver for free and a much cheaper deal.
