MichelleY, that's a fairly complicated announcement. I'm surprised they've opened the road at all before it's completely repaired and ready.

And people didn't believe us when we said it would be a late opening this year ;)

Since they are trying to partially open it and do the normal clearing/construction/repair at the same time, I can see it not 100% open til August.

The good news is that Glacier Point Road IS open. I would just advise people to come in from the Wawona direction, and go straight up there first thing. Maybe don't even go into the Valley.
