Timeshares in Hawaii
 

Based on experiene, does anyone have any recommendations for timeshare/resorts on any of the islands? Thanks for the help. Mark<BR>

Mark,<BR>We stayed at the Pono Kai on Kauai last year. Very clean, well run, large units and nice grounds and centrally located.<BR><BR>Here is a great website with a wealth of timeshare info. http://www.tug2.net/<BR><BR>You can wander the site and get a lot of info without joining.<BR><BR>You have to be a member to access to the resort reviews but if you are a timeshare user/owner it will be the best $15/year you have ever spent.<BR><BR>RCI.com also has a &quot;journal&quot; section that you may want to check, but I don't know if they edit out any bad experiences.<BR><BR>L

The Embassy Vacation Resort on Maui is very nice and is in an excellent location. I stayed there for my honeymoon in 2000.

To answer your question would require a review of all the resorts in Hawaii (except fot the few that are real dumps). It would be helpful if you gave more information. Are you interested in luxury, moderate, or cheap? Do you want to be beachfront. Are you looking for total relaxation or do you want to be close to the action? What else are you looking for in a resort.

Lawai Beach Resort on Kauai is an RCI Goldcrown resort, located on the south shore ( sunniest). It has 3 buildings, 1 and 2 bedroom units. Most all units have full ocean views. 3 pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, mini golf, work-out room, activities, convenience shop. Resort is well maintained, tropical grounds, and has great security. Beach across the street is one of the best for snorkling on South Shore. Don't know specifically what you are looking for, but I go to this resort each year and have never been disappointed.

Mike - actually Nova has the right idea. There are so many timeshares in Hawaii, on every island, of every type that this question is pretty unanswerable without more details. <BR><BR>I know of 6 or 7 really great properties on each island and several more on one - but I am not going to post a list of 25 timeshares if I have no idea what Mark (or you) are looking for.<BR><BR>Your post was totally off base and VERY rude!

Dear Breanda,<BR>That looks like a very nice resort. I just visited the website and it looks like something I might enjoy. With only 52 RCI-affiliated resorts on all of the islands, not all would (naturally) be top-notch. Thanks for your recommendation.<BR>RCIer - When one looks for accommodations in, say Phoenix area, there have to be at least 300 of them - yet most people can pick out 5 or 6 that are agreed upon as being outstanding. If you know of one that really stands out from the rest, why don't you tell us which one it might be?<BR>
