Times Square restaurant
 

Does anyone know the name of the restaurant that's above or near a brewery at Times Square? The restaurant is upstairs and serves the best sandwiches! Is it still there?

Nope... the building, and restaurant, are no longer there. If you want a brewery in Times Square, try the Heartland Brewery.

You're kidding - I was at that brewery restaurant just a couple of years ago - I think it had an oyster bar downstairs. I loved the sandwiches too!! Where is Heartland Brewery and is there a restaurant there - is it a casual type dining place?

127 West 43rd Street between Broadway and 6th. For a review on the place, go to ny.citysearch.com. I've not been, but some of my colleagues tell me the food is very good! Have a beer on me.

We stopped in the one you're talking about a couple of years ago and couldn't get waited on before the theatre, just standing at the bar trying to get beers. Glad it's gone! It also was dirty and smelled bad, like a combination of dirty mop water and stale beer. But really like the Heartland Brewery for relatively cheap and casual food and fun. They have wonderful buffalo burgers!! And super chili. Their beers are great, too, especially their oatmeal stout.
