Hi everyone!
Just thought that I'd update the thread. I spent a week in New York doing some wedding planing in late May, and got to try out Lavagna (I seem to be averaging one new restaurant per trip). It was delicious! The host and waiters were a little surly, but the food more than made up for it! I will definitely go back.
I also decided on what used to be the Park Avenue Cafe, now Park Avenue (insert season) for my rehearsal dinner. We had lunch there, and it was pretty good (some things were a little over-salted). It's near the church so it works nicely.
We will probably have to go back one more time before the wedding, so hopefully I'll get to another restaurant suggestion then.
Thank you all so much for your time and thoughtful suggestions! I wish that I didn't have to coordinate with other people when I go to NYC and could just go on a "Fodors Foodie Tour of New York."
