Time Share Hotel Deals

Does anyone know of any time share hotel deals in the island of Maui, Big Island or Kauai

Marriott offers them but I don't know how you get on the "list".
You could ask for an estimate on their website and maybe get an invite for a discounted visit that way or, if you know any owners (Marriott or anyone else), they can often put your name forward for a discounted trip.

Stephanie, visit timeshareforums.com
or tugbbs.com

This is where the timeshare experts hang out and can give you some great advice.

This is what I just did:

On the Marriott site I requested a timeshare proposal for the Waiohai on Kauai. I received an email offering for ownership. I called the rep, advised I was going to Hawaii in April 2007 and I would never be able to purchase sight unseen. He had another rep contact us (the online sales are handled by a different dept from the vacation package timeshare sales) and she offered the 2 bedroom/2 bath villa 5 night package including car rental for $799. We confirmed our dates were available, they charged my CC and we are set up!

Since the villa is over 500 per night (overkill for us really, as it is just the two of us) I feel we are getting a super deal for the 5 nights. DH is Marriott Platinum and I feel they won't treat us too badly during the 90 minute presentation.

Some folks wouldn't trade a minute of vacation to attend a timeshare presentation, but, frankly, my time is NOT that valuable, LOL. I

for well-known resorts, try contacting the major hotel chain vacation clubs directly

Marriott: http://www.vacationclub.com/default.jsp
have gotten 5 night offers (plus car rental) at JW Marriott Ihilani on Oahu in the past

Hilton:
http://www.hiltongrandvacations.com/
got an offer just recently for 4 nights at either Hilton Waikoloa Village on BI or Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu for $798 plus 40,000 HHonors points

Starwood:
http://www.starwoodvacationownership.com/index.jsp
already signed up for 5 nights at Princeville on Kauai plus Avis rental for $798
there's also the Westin Resort on Maui, 5nts plus Avis rental for $749
note: may need a referral for SVO offers

as cracker mentions, also get the 411 on timeshares at tug2.net

And I realized I made an error on the price I quoted above, it was $699 for 5 nights and a rental car.

We got a 5 day package at the Embassy Suites on Maui 2 years ago for either $599 or $699 - it was offered on their website. We had a very spacious room overlooking the ocean with a long lanai & a huge, luxurious marble bathroom with a seperate tub & shower. We were really pleasantly surprised with the accomodations & although the presentation was a nuisance, it was worth it.

Cheesehead: Please post a report when you get back! Some friends signed us up for the same Marriott Waiohai package that you are doing, and I would love to hear about your experience before we book. Thanks!
