Tidepools Near Kennebunkport Maine?
 

Any recommendations for tidepooling within about an hour or so of Kennebunkport, Maine? I hear there is some great tidepooling in Acadia National Park, but we are not keen on going that far. Thanks!

I know what tidepools are but not the idea of "tidepooling"!?
Goose Rocks Beach a few miles out of the main drag of Kennebunkport is gorgeous and does have some tidepool areas.

There are also some amazing nature areas along the nearby coast,just south of KPT under the name of Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge

I think there's an area further north that's also part of the system

Thanks very much! This is helpful. Tidepooling is just that - exploring the tidepools and the sea life inside them. Our kids are very excited for this!

Cape Neddic Lobster pound Harborside, just over the little bridge a a great tidepool. We stayed a nember of summers at the two cottages just across the street. Also, at bidderford pool. Just across from Hatties [private home now, I think] is the driveway to a parking lot to the ocean. But not a tidepool. Had a condo there for ten years. Richard P.S. P.S.P.S. An occasional lobster would occasional come thru a very narrow gut. Much fun.
