Tickets to "O" Show
 

My family's just put me in charge of getting tickets for the "O" Show for Memorial Day weekend and I was wondering if anyone knew the BEST way to purchase them? I'm going to need 7 tickets and don't know if it's better to do it online or call the box office directly. Is there any difference? And are they available EXACTLY 3 months in advance or is it possible to reserve earlier?? I know it'll be a busy weekend so I'm facing a tough challenge. Thanks for your input!!

We booked on line, they used to have rules on how soon you can book, not sure if the rules still apply. Go in and try to book from the Bellagio web site. Or else call, there is no price break on the Internet for this show.

If you are staying at the Bellagio or Treasure Island..you can book early with the hotel. Buy them as soon as you can, since you have a lot of people and are going on a busy weekend.

Call the hotel and find out how the EARLIEST way to book. If calling the box office &quot;as a guest of the hotel&quot; is the earliest way to get a ticket, then do it. I have a feeling that is the earliest - but ask them to be sure.<BR><BR>Just fyi - almost any seat is good. Even the ones in the back. Just don't get the obstructed view or &quot;wet&quot; seats up front, and you'll be fine.

If you are NOT staying @ Bellagio, call the box office exactly 90 days before the show. Do not wait, or you will be running a risk to be left without tickets. <BR>I have personally used www.cirquedusoleil.com. They have a link that directs you toward, I believe, Ticketmaster. They charge some sort of a service fee, and the tickets are not refundable. Helpful hint: if it will show you that no good tickets are available, try again in 1/2 hour. Sometimes, people let their reservation expire, so good tickets are coming back to the pool.<BR>Warning about making a reservation @ Bellagio, getting tickets and then canceling the reservation. Bellagio does reserve best seats for their guests, however, I have been told that when you stop to pick up tickets @ box office before the show, they will check to see if you are a guest @ the hotel. If not - your tickets will be sold, and credit card reimbursed. Now, I am not sure if it is an empty threat or not, but I decided not to risk of having my family with &quot;O&quot; tickets.<BR><BR>Bob

I printed off a seating chart from the hotel web site and also got the toll free number for the box office at the hotel. I began calling a month before leaving for Vegas. I was told that no seats were available. I kept trying and I finally got some fantastic seats. This was several years ago and the box office stated that people made reservations and sometimes cancelled them. There was no charge to cancel at that time, if it was done 24 hours in advance. I do not know if the policy has changed. Hope this helps. Memorial Day weekend will be a busy time. Start working on reservations now.

Have to disagree with Darvy about the &quot;obstructed view&quot; seats. Depending on where they are, they could be really great and at a relative bargain (about $20 less per ticket?). We only had the option of &quot;obstructed view&quot; off to the side but in the second row. Except for the very, very beginning, when the curtain was coming up and blocked part of the stage, we saw the show perfectly. The second row allowed us to see everything extremely well. And we did not get wet!

Thanks Bob for the warning about making a Bellagio reservation and than cancelling later. That thought did cross my mind! Well, unfortunately Bellagio is out of our price range so I will have to call the box office directly for tickets. I called them yesterday and they said they open at 6am so I'll be up at the crack of dawn next weekend! I really appreciate everyone's feedback!! Wish me luck!

Martas,<BR><BR>The thing is: You missed a crucial point of the show. Sitting in those obstructed seats, you missed what was behind that curtain at the beginning. <BR><BR>It was the Queen of O. At that moment, she stabs herself with a medieval looking dagger, dives into the water, and then the light flash in the water explains the mysteries of the subsequent scenes. <BR><BR>Again, people, do NOT buy the obstructed seats.<BR><BR>-darvy

darvy, that is SO odd that you posted about the &quot;Queen of O,&quot; I went to &quot;O&quot; with a friend and another couple -- we were not able to sit together, our seats were on opposite sides. I did not think our seats were &quot;obstructed,&quot; but at the beginning, I couldn't see what was going when the curtain was coming up -- I could sort of see a person but there was a pillar and a sound speaker (?) in the way. Afterwards our friends were like &quot;didn't you see that woman at the beginning? Didn't you see that stuff in the water?&quot; and I was so mad! Turns out we DID have obstructed seats, the show was still great but if you see everything at the beginning it kind of ties it all together. (Kind of like the red material/red balloon thing.)<BR><BR>Don't get obstructed seats!

Yes, I got my tickets! I got 7 tickets together in the upper orchestra -- we're sitting way on the side but they are not &quot;obstructed view&quot; seats. So you can call the box office 3 months in advance (i.e., I wanted to go to the May 24th show so I had to call on March 24 -- so not quite 90 days). We called about 10 minutes before they opened (6am) to get in the queue and they got to our call just about 5 minutes after 6am. Bellagio guests make their reservations through the hotel concierge so I guess it's a little easier, but they also have to do this within the same 3-month advance ordering period. Appreciate everyone's advice and insight!!

Sorry, I meant FEBRUARY 24 as the day that I had to order my tix!

We went, had obstructed view seats and the show was spectacular!!! We are going back this April (already have our tickets) and we are sitting in 2nd row obstructed view seats and the show will be spectacular again!!! It doesn't really matter where you sit it is a FABULOUS show!!! ENJOY

Have to agree with caarandy. Although I might not have chosen to buy obstructed view seats, given that there was no choice, I am certainly glad that I got obstructed seats as opposed to no seats at all! Saying that it is &quot;not worth it&quot; to see the O show with obstructed seats is not true - though I may have missed a nuance in the show, the overall experience was tremendous. And if I hadn't just been told about this omission, I never would have known! In fact, our seats were so good for seeing the rest of the show,<BR>I might even choose the same &quot;obstructed&quot; view seats again.

I just got tickets for this Monday on the Cirquedusoleil website. 3rd Row Orchestra &quot;Wet Seat&quot;. They didn't have balcony available, but these are more expensive and &quot;supposed&quot; to be much better seats.<BR>Is this too close to see everything? Should I be concerned about the &quot;wet&quot; factor and try to move back??<BR><BR>Help ASAP please...

It is a great show, you should see it regardless of what seats are available. <BR><BR>Having said that . . . <BR>If you saw the show with obstructed seats, and then tell us that &quot;the seats were great! I didn't miss a thing!&quot; you really can't be trusted, because YOU WERE IN OBSTRUCTED SEATS. You DID miss at least one thing during the opening which does impact the show. I can say this because I was in an obstructed seat during the show, and I compared notes with friends who were not in obstructed seats. <BR><BR>I am actually planning to see the show again and sit in unobstructed seats. <BR><BR>But it is an amazing show, even if you miss some of the elements! Just don't take obstructed seats if you can help it!

JPG - don't worry. Apparently you don't get as wet as they make it seem. You're fine. And at least you get to see the part with the Queen of O. Without that, the whole show doesn't make a lick of sense.<BR><BR>-Darvy

If some of you were seated at 101 or 105 row 1, please let me know how bad it was (those are obstructed view seats). Also, I have an option of getting 205 or 201 (row P) which is also an obstructed view seat. Do you have any experience as far as those seats are concerned.

I agree, if you are going to spend that much to begin with, pay a little more for a good seat. It is truly amazing. Cheaper than having to go back to see it again. I was on the balcony and far away. Bringing little binoculars helps because then you can see their faces and makeup. I thought it was a bummer to be up so high until so many things started to happen underwtaer that people sitting on the floor could not possibly see. We also could see alot of the aerobatic acts better. Everyone will get a different experience, but marvelous nonetheless !

FYI-We booked in June for an early November seat and they only had a couple left.

Igor: believe it or not I had sec 205 row Q seat 3...what you will be looking through is a 2&quot; wide, 3 or 4 rails high railing. It was very disconcerting for me as I was always trying to look above or below the railing. This seat was not rated obstructed and when I objected after the show, was not given any refund. There were two men behind me who had just gotten their seats (unobstructed)
a few days before the event. Really made me mad as I didn't realize that was an option.

I have obstructed view seats in a week in section 303 very last row...that was all that was available at the time. I really want my family to see this. So I booked them.

However, there are many seats that come up the day of the show. People cancel so it is always a good idea to check back and see if you can upgrade your seats.

Actually, 205, rows O, P, Q are all rated limited view seats. Are some of those seats less obstructed than the others? For example, is it better to get row Q than row O?

Just got back from seeing O. It was pretty good. But I had the obstructed seats that were real cheapies. Well, to make a long story short, STINKO! They are not worth it. Just pay the few extra bucks. That way you can enjoy the show fully, including the scene with the Witch or Queen of O...could never tell if she was a witch or a queen ... lol!
