Tickets for the "O" show at LV
We will be at Las Vegas on 4th and 5th June (Fri & Sat). Would like to watch the "O" show on Saturday. How much in advance should we purchase the tickets ? Is it OK to buy them one day before, or do they get sold out ?
Also, I see the ticket prices varying from $ 100 to $160 or so. Are the $100 or $108 seats OK? I hope there are no restricted views from those enclosures ? |
sorry, which resort has the "O" show? typically at these shows you don't want to sit too close as the activity includes heights and sometimes even into the audience. personally, i like to select my seat prior to arriving and avoid long lines and possibly no seat at all.

The "O" show runs at the Bellagio.

ok, sorry. ive been to the O show there three times and loved it. sit in the middleish or even further back is ok as they do a lot of stuff up really high. dramatic, awesome. definately book ahead, check the seating map and get the seats. the booking people should be able to help you decide best seats as well. I always like to sit in the front row or section BUT AT 0 I WOULD NEVER SIT IN THE FRONT. Same for other cirque shows in vegas and also phantom in venetian. bellagio is awesome, don't forget to go outside and look at the pools. the entrance to the resort has brightly colored glass up towards the ceiling. THEY WERE ALL HANDBLOWN IN VENICE, WE TOURED THE FACTORY THAT ACTUALLY DID THE WORK IN VENICE. had been to bellagio several times and nobody ever told us the ceiling work was handblown!

I thought the flowers were done by Dale Chihuly? Was he working in Venice?
|
dunno dale, only know what the tour told us in venice.

Sorry, Goldie. You aren't the first person to be given totally wrong information. That glass was NOT blown in Venice (unless that's the name of a street or district in Seattle, Washington!)
From the Dale Chihuly website: "Steve Wynn started talking to me about the ceiling at the Bellagio long before construction even began. He wanted me to make a spectacular piece in the lobby of the hotel that would rival the aquarium at the Mirage, and generate more interest. Back in Seattle, we built the entire seventy-by-thirty-foot ceiling, full-scale, at my studio. The commission, as contracted, called for a whole new armature type and about a thousand new flowers. Steve visited several times, loved it, and wanted even more glass. Finally FIORI DI COMO was installed with over two thousand handblown glass elements. — Chihuly |
I have had the tickets in 200 tier to the side and there were great. You can see all the action that is going on. I have seen the show twice and with all Cirque Shows there is a lot going on, but "O" is beautiful. This isn't a huge venue, so even something in the top would be fine.
I also checked on Cirque Du Soleil website to see if they had any specials for the Club Cirque members and the only thing they had was a dinner and ticket special. Last year they were celebrating their 25th anniversary and they had some great deals. I would also buy sooner rather than later. You are only a month away and the Friday and Saturday shows will sell out. Enjoy the show. It was wonderful, as I think all Cirque Du Soleil shows are. |
Thanks SEW. I just went ahead and booked our tickets, in the balcony center enclosure. Looking forward to enjoying the show.
Thanks everyone. |
