Ticket to Matilda on 7/16, NYC

First trip to NYC--my sister's friend's idea-- hotel is booked, plane tickets purchased, now her friend has canceleld....so now only my sister & 13 yr old niece are going ...
The show is on Thursday 7/16 at the Shubert and she now has an extra ticket. She says they have good seats. What's the best way for her to sell it? Stub hub? Any suggestions?
I suggested she eat at the West Bank Cafe, but I don't know what to tell her about selling an extra theatre ticket!

I'd say that Stubhub is probably your best bet. Maybe TicketsNow. Are these actual tickets or e-tickets? Ebay might also work.

I would look at stubhub and ebay to see if there are any Matilda tickets on sale there now. If not, she may be able to sell to someone waiting at the theater (but only if it's selling out - check if it is).

Thanks, Doug & nytraveler--I shall pass on your suggestions!

The show has been doing very well lately, so the chance for a sellout that night is good. Thus, if you can't sell the ticket on Stubhub or ebay, there is the good possibility of selling at the theater.

Howard-dumb question, but how exactly does one do that?

Some theatres wil not let you sell right in front of the theatre.

If there is a line or people inside waiting for tickets (not pick up line but hoping for returns or ?) I would go to the booth, explain the situation line and ask if it's OK to offer to sell your extra ticket at face value.

I know of no law that prohibits a person from selling a legitimate ticket in front the theater. Solely based on my observations in the past, you just stand there and publicly state that you have a ticket for sale!
