Three hotels near Disneyland

I need help deciding which of these hotels to book: Anaheim Camelot Inn, Carousel Inn, or Anaheim Desert Inn. I've read good and bad reviews about each of them. Since we'll be visiting with a toddler, we really want to be as close as possible to the park. Any ideas?

I think there is a Best Western right across from the entance that gets good marks. The ones you've listed are little on the not so great side of things. I've stayed at the Desert Inn and it was pretty bad.

try a search on Trip advisor, also, have you thought about maybe renting a small villa with pool. There are some bargains to be had and you might get lucky.

Are there Villas with pools near Disneyland?

AnnRiley Jul 2nd, 2007 02:22 AM

Near enough, we have been to Orlando 4 times (i'm from UK) and apart from our 1st time have always booked a villa with pool via the internet.

They can range in price and size. Last time it was just Hubby and me so we got a smaller more basic house/villa with a smaller pool, again enough for 2 (it was still a 3 bed).

It was somewhere is Kissimee area, which was only about 10/15 mins away from Disney.

We paid about £250 pw (think this is about $480 ishpw, which for a family and the freedom is great IMO.

There are so many types of holiday accom shooting up all over Orlando its worth looking at them all to get the best for your family.

We have NEVER had any problems with any of our bookings either booking over internet or being from UK etc.

Good luck

AnnRiley,
I think Diane is talking about Disney LAND in California. Not Disney WORLD in Florida.

Diane,
I wouldn't worry about staying near the park. Just about every hotel in Anaheim has a shuttle bus to the park. Stay where it is most convenient for you. Bring hats! The ozone has diminished in the past few years and you can get a sunburn good enough to send you to the hospital in under 2 hours. Unless things have changed, Disneyland does not have the nice overhangs like Disneyworld has while waiting in lines. Have fun!

Oops, my mistake, i do apologise, just presumed it was Orlando.

Now you mention it 'Anaheim' is the give away. Whatever you decide i send my best wishes for a fab holiday.
