Three dollar ( $3 ) Blackjack still exists in Las Vegas

Just got back from Vegas. I enjoy playing blackjack, but $5 is a bit much for my comfort level (and my skill level). I was able to find three nice casinos, all in Henderson, that offer one $3 table 24/7. You might think "is there that much of a difference between $3 and $5 ?? I'd answer yes - To make money in blackjack, you must be willing to split and double down, whenever possible. That makes the $3 table really $6, and the $5 table really $10, almost twice as expensive. Have a bad day at a $3 table, you might lose $50. That same bad day at a $5 table costs you over $85.

I played $3 blackjack at the Fiesta Station, Boulder Station & Texas Station casinos, all in the same chain of resorts. The casinos are not as glitzy as the ones on the strip, but they are large enough, very clean, have very attentive cocktail waitresses. In addition, because of all of the locals that play there, you kind of feel 'at home', like you would if you really drank beer in the Cheers television show. The dealers knew most of the players by name and were very pleasant and personable.

Good luck and have fun.
