John-The closest casino would be in Windsor, Ontario, across the bridge from Detroit.

Diane-Sadly, Blue Hole is closed. I hear it's for sale if you are interested.

Would like to know if anyone has been to the TECUMSEH "Outdoor drama experience" OR ridden the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. What is your opinion?

Chuck, we have casinos in Detroit as well now. My Ohio relatives come up all the time to gamble. We visit Ohio a I think it's actually a very beautiful state.

Let me second (or third) a vote for COSI in Columbus. The website is http://www.cosi.org. There is a traveling exhibit on the Titanic this Summer and it was great. There are a lot of other things to do here as well.

Here is another Ohio tourism website for you: http://www.discoverohio.com/home.asp.

ksctx -- You asked about Tecumseh. I grew up in the area and went to the show 7 or 8 times as a child. The show was fabulous. Outside beneath the stars, it really made you feel like you were in another time. My husband and I went last year so he could see the show. It was even better than I remembered as a child. The lighting and choreography was even better. There are some loud sounds in the show because of the rifle fire and the cannons, so I wouldn't recomend taking a young child.

ksctx, as a helpful hint, this is a good case when it would make more sense to start a new thread with "Tecumseh Outdoor Drama" in the title instead of adding your question to a four year old thread. With that new title, anyone who knows about Tecumseh will be sure to see it and answer.

I want to second a visit to the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. Admission to the Air Force museum is free although there are some IMAX style movies that have a small fee.

The number of personal momentos on display is mind boggling. They make the museum interesting even for those not big war buffs or air travel fans.

On display is one of the two planes that were used to drop the nuclear bombs on Japan as well as the Air Force One plane that carried Kennedy's body home from Dallas. Remember the pics of LBJ being sworn in on the plane with Jackie looking on?

Okay, I'm stupid. Didn't see the date of the original post...

Thanks gardeniapatti for the information on the Tecumseh. I think we will try to get to it this year. And Patrick, thanks for the "hint". I realized afterward that I should have started a new thread...oh well...I'll learn. :)
